Integrated Bank Technology and
Recovery Solutions Partner to Assist Banks in Compliance Plans with
New Federal Regulatory Standards --Companies to offer
expanded disaster recovery options--
CHICAGO, April 29, 2008 – Integrated Bank Technology
(IBT), a company that specializes in engineering robust software
applications and provides 24/7 support services to community
financial institutions, announced that it has formed a partnership
with Plainfield, Ill.-based Recovery Solutions, a comprehensive
disaster recovery service provider. With its current real time
replication model integrated within the software, IBT has raised the
bar on disaster recovery capabilities keeping costly service
disruptions to a minimum for its customers. IBT’s new partnership
with Recovery Solutions will complement those efforts and add
business continuity planning to its innovative solutions package.
The Federal Financial Institutions Examinations
Council (FFIEC), a federal interagency regulatory organization that
creates and enforces principles and standards for the federal
examination of financial institutions, recently made revisions to
its business continuity planning criteria in hopes to reduce
negative effects on financial institutions’ business operations,
reduce financial institutions’ monetary loss and enable customers
and financial markets to be serviced with minimal disruptions.
Through its strategic partnership with Recovery
Solutions, IBT can now address all of these revisions by offering
its customers a seamless disaster recovery service as an integration
in to each institution’s business continuity plan for federal
compliance. Additionally, IBT can provide its customers with
satellite facilities immediately following an unexpected occurrence
that prevents banks from operating in their normal offices.
“Recovery Solutions offers a unique mobile disaster
recovery service complete with a sophisticated satellite network
that enables financial institutions to continue to operate in the
event of a disaster. Our fully documented Live-Site Test is
essential for our clients meeting regulatory requirements,” said
Rick Lavin, founder and president of Recovery Solutions.
The mobile branch facilities are fully equipped with
computers, a satellite telephone system, an imaging capture device,
banking related printers and other accommodations that include
teller counters, drive up facilities, a break area, security cameras
and alarm systems. Wireless satellite connectivity to IBT’s data
center is also available and is a vital benefit that will enable
financial institutions to access and update documents experiencing
little disruption to the customer.
Additionally, the mobility of the facilities
addresses a prevailing issue in the industry, the ability of
financial institutions to respond to a pandemic. Using a mobile
branch, an IBT customer can move the bank outside of the affected
area and continue to service its customers without putting anyone at
risk.
“Our partnership with Recovery Solutions will allow
our clients to have access to core systems and files, as well as
necessary operational elements to continue serving their customers
in crisis situations,” said Mike Golebiowski, president at IBT.
“With unforeseen circumstances having the potential to happen at the
least expected time, banks want the assurance of knowing that they
can continue serving their customers immediately. With our combined
experience, our clients will know that they will be taken care of
during normal business conditions as well as abnormal conditions.”
